This is so important I had to place it on my blog. Please read the following and vote YES to this bill.
Please vote to protect the copyright of content creators (authors, musicians, artists, photographers, filmmkers etc) against piracy in the US. There is a VOTE function at the top of the page but a litany of truly shocking comments from people who believe it is their screwy constitutional right to get books, music, imagery, mov…ies a…nd artworks for free if they want it but that the content creators being paid for it is somehow unconstitutional. Go figure.
Please take a moment to vote YES to supporting the bill (vote button, top of the page). Takes about 2 seconds. The legislation itself is short but complex but closely tied to regulating only those sites whose purpose is for sharing, distribution or commercial excange of copyrighted material.
Click on the link below and vote.
Thank you!

Done. 🙂
Hi Tam,
Shall do.
Shayne
Thanks for putting this up, Tamara! It's so important that people know our copyrights are being violated on a daily basis. This is thievery. It's the same as walking into Barnes & Noble and stealing a book. Why don't we get the same protection when the only difference is the theif does it on the computer instead of in person? With hundreds or thousands of copies of our books being stolen, how much longer are we going to be able to afford to write?
Thanks Suzanne and Shayne. Every vote does indeed count.
My pleasure, Robin. A couple of online frineds also added it to their blogs and RWAus has posted the link on the eloop and Facebook. It is theft and needs to be stopped. Hopefully we have helped getting the bill through.
Tam 🙂
