Synopsis

A DUKE OF A TIME
They’re complete opposites. Society would never approve. But that doesn’t stop them from wanting more…

Greyson Everett, future Duke of Derby, has been exiled and expected to repent and work like a commoner. If he has any hope of getting back to his real life, he’ll have to stay the course—and stop kissing his employer’s bossy, opinionated, and entirely too lovely daughter. It should be easy. But it’s not…

ON A WILD DUKE CHASE
The game is on, and she intends to fight dirty. But then again, so does he…

Duke Dillon Viscount Leigh has secrets. The fact that his estate is nearly broke is merely one of them. So, he needs to marry an heiress and fast. The house party would’ve been the perfect place to find one, too—if only a certain noisy, stubborn, and entirely too beautiful miss hadn’t made it her mission to thwart him.

SPEAK OF THE DUKE
Speak of the duke and he shall appear…

Julia Woodville knew the kiss she’d shared with Lord Cyrus Franklin, known rake, couldn’t have meant as much to him as it had to her. And he proved her right by leaving London and marrying another. But now he’s back, and this time, she’s not about to let him anywhere near her heart…

EVERY DUKE HAS A SILVER LINING
He can't deny her anything...except maybe his heart...

Ashley Woodville didn't mean any harm when she broke into Grady Kolten's office. It was only a dare from her friends. She wasn't supposed to get caught. And she certainly wasn't supposed to talk the notorious gaming hell owner (and disturbingly sexy rogue) into showing her London's wilder side. Falling for him? Also not part of the dare. But she did it anyway. All of it...

ONE DAY MY DUKE WILL COME
If he won’t give her his heart, she’ll just have to steal it…

Tatum Chance, Duke of Romney, wants nothing to do with love. So, getting married was the last thing he had planned. But when an innocent miss is seen mistakenly stumbling into his room while he is ensconced in a bath, he’s left with little alternative. Well, he might’ve been forced into marriage, but no one can make him surrender his heart—not even his new bride. No matter how utterly tempting she is…

SURRENDER TO THE DUKE
Surrendering to the Duke will be easy. Not losing her heart to him is another matter entirely…

Miss Lila York should have refused her sister’s request. But since she didn’t, she’s now in the unfortunate position of traveling to London, pretending to be her sister, and rejecting a man—a man she’s long coveted from afar for herself. If only saying no was as easy as everyone seems to think…

MY RECKLESS EARL
To get her happily ever after, she’s ready to do something reckless…

Miss Harlow York has been planning for her second season in London for months, and she’s finally ready to achieve her goal: winning the heart of the elusive Earl Kemsley. It won’t be easy, but she’s more than up for the challenge. And one thing is certain. He’ll have no idea what hit him…

BRAZEN ROGUE
When the past and present are standing in the way of happiness, it’ll take brazen act to save the day…

Miss Reign Hall has resigned herself to being a spinster. Her disastrous season in London left her with little opportunity (or desire) for anything else. But when she’s offered a governess position, she knows it’s her best chance for a fresh start away from small country village life. Too bad her new employer turns out to be the man who once destroyed her faith in love and romance…

THE NOTORIOUS LORD SIN
Love might be the only luxury she can’t afford…

Paris Smith remembers the days when she was penniless all too well. The pain of being deemed unsuitable for marriage by her first love never truly faded. Now, she’s a widowed Countess with more money than she could ever spend, and the man who nearly destroyed her wants a second chance. Oh, how the tables have deliciously turned…

WICKED IN MY BED
If he’s lucky, perhaps he can convince her to be wicked with him just once. Or maybe even forever…

Daphne Raven is happy with her prospective betrothed. He’ll be the perfect husband—meek, mild, and unlikely to stir any emotional chaos within her. But when she travels to London for her wedding attire, all it takes is one night at a ball (and a passionate case of mistaken identity) to shatter her faultless plans and make her question everything…

Chapter One Look Inside

SNIPPET FROM - EVERY DUKE HAS A SILVER LINING

"Shall we dance, Lord Howley?"

"Ashley!" her sister, the Marchioness of Chilsten, scolded. "Maybe his lordship does not wish to dance."

She met his eye, smiling a little at her sister's forwardness. "Apologies, my lord. My sister is new to society and its rules."

He reached out his hand, slipping Miss Woodville's into his. It was small and delicate and covered in silk. He wanted to strip her of the smooth confines and feel her. Revel in her touch.
He shook the thought aside. What was wrong with him, acting as if he cared? He did not. He merely was here to stop her from making a mistake. Nothing more.
"When it comes to society's rules, I too am rusty, so long have I lived without them. But I would be honored to dance with you, Miss Woodville," he said.

She grinned, throwing a triumph glance over her shoulder to her sisters, who looked less than pleased to let her step out with him. Nevertheless, they conceded, and he escorted her onto the dance floor, other couples joining them in the Gavotte.

"So you came, my lord. I did not think I would see you here. I thought I would have to go against your orders and visit you at the hell again if I wished for another conversation."

He pulled her against him, moving them through the dance steps as the music floated through the room. "You would not dare, Miss Woodville. I forbade you to do so."

She shrugged, and his attention snapped to her delicate shoulder and the low cut of her gown. He took a calming breath, having not seen her in all her finery, the twinkling candlelight making her look ethereal and too beautiful for words.
"I thought that you would have been engaged by now. Is there no gentleman in the ton who has caught your heart yet?" he teased her, his words beyond what was acceptable.
Not that he cared. There was no one to listen to what he said.

Her eyes flew wide, and she glanced about, ensuring privacy. "No, my lord. There is no one, not yet at least. But the Season is young, and I have time to make a gentleman fall in love with me."

"That is true, Miss Woodville, and I'm sure they will, so long as you behave yourself and do not ruin your reputation by visiting the East End of London as you have been. I hope you have stopped your foolishness?"

"We have." She nodded. "Not since you returned us home have we partaken in another dare. We have learned our lesson," she said, all innocence, and yet her eyes twinkled with mirth as if she were teasing him.

"Do not lie to me, Miss Woodville. It would help if you did not put your reputation at risk. No lark is worth a life lived in the shadows, where even your family and friends are frowned upon should they visit you." He knew this fact himself, so long had he lived it. Not to mention his poor mama, who had lost everything she held dear, including her husband.

SNIPPET FROM - A DUKE OF A TIME

Greyson Everett, future Duke of Derby, and Miss Hailey Woodville slipped from the candlelit ballroom under the pretense of needing air, though both knew it was a lie. What they truly needed was each other—just a moment alone, one stolen breath of honesty away from the eyes of the ton.

But even in the shadows, truth was dangerous.

"We cannot be caught together, not outside. We shall return to the ball and dance there. No one will suspect anything if that were to happen."

"I do not want to return to the ball," Greyson stated, wanting only to be here with Hailey.

"Really?" She looked surprised. "Are you not eager to return indoors? You seemed well-pleased dancing with several women who were not me."

He ran a hand through his hair, clasping it in annoyance. "Do be serious. At country balls, everyone dances and partakes in the fun. It does not signify anything. The only woman I want in my arms is you, as you well know."

Hailey stopped her pacing, turning to face him. "I am being serious. You did not ask me to dance, and you had the opportunity."

"When?" he asked, throwing up his hands. "You were not left alone. I could no sooner ask for your hand for a dance than to keep Martin Bagshaw from drooling at your slippered feet."

"Are you jealous of whom I danced with?" she asked, raising one curious brow. "Do you feel challenged that a gentleman has done what you have not and asked me to marry him?"

Greyson cringed, hating that what she said was true. He loathed the idea of anyone asking Hailey for her hand in marriage. She wasn't for any of them, she was his, and he was hers, and why they were even arguing this right now, he had no idea.

SNIPPET FROM - EVERY DUKE HAS A SILVER LINING

Which one would be this Grady Kolten's office? For a moment, she stood there, unsure which direction to turn, before taking a guess and heading left.

The upstairs was eerily quiet, and her stomach roiled with nerves. What would she do if anyone caught her? What would she do if the person who did find her snooping about was dangerous and caused her harm?

She stilled as a creaking board sounded behind her, and was about to flee from this nightmare of her own making when the startling cold press of metal against her neck halted even her heart.

Oh dear God, I am going to die.

"Looking for something?" a deep, gravelly voice whispered against her ear. She dared not move as the pinch of the blade stung. Had he cut her? How would she explain the mark to her family? If she ever saw them again, that was.

"I'm sorry, sir. I meant no harm. It was merely a lark—a bet. I should not be here. I should not have come," she babbled, closing her mouth to halt the panic she heard in her voice.

"Hmm," he said, taking the knife from her throat and hoisting her over his shoulder as if she weighed no more than a flour sack. He strode into a room with one window, a large desk, and several walls of shelving and slammed the door closed on her escape. Ashley sent up a final prayer to the heavens to try to get her out of this predicament. She should never have listened to her friends. She should never have come. And now, she would die in the cesspit of East London, and her family would never know why.

SNIPPET FROM - WICKED IN MY BED

For the next several days, Corey lived in a state of discomfort. His body craved the woman he could not name, nor did he know if he would ever see her again.

He stood at the side of the Duke and Duchess of Blackhaven's ballroom floor, playing the embodiment of gentlemanly behavior and politeness to the fairer sex.

But it was all a show. He was not in London to find a wife. He needed a lover, and only one would fill that position. It was the sweet little vixen who had come apart in his arms.

Her first orgasm, he was certain. Even now, a full ten days after having one of the most sexually fulfilling experiences of his life, he could still hear her sweet sighs. See in his mind when he closed his eyes the wonder in hers at what he delivered her.

He secured a whisky from a passing footman and raised it in salute to his good friend Billington, who stood on the opposite side of the room.

He narrowed his eyes, taking in the throng of guests, and wondered how soon he could leave, and if his hosts would notice.

"Renford, good of you to come. I did not think I would get you here," Blackhaven teased, coming to stand beside him and watching his guests with appreciation.

All of this was new to him. Society, the dinners and balls, the promenades, and rides in the park. For so many years, everyone believed he was secluded at his country estate, Grand Oaks. How wrong they were. Fighting for his homeland was where he truly had been, and he could not quite settle himself into this environment as well as he once had.

"Of course I will attend, but for how long is another question. But I'm happy to be invited. How is the duchess? No doubt the preparations of the ball have kept her busy."

Blackhaven chuckled and nodded in the direction of his wife, who stood beside a strawberry-haired beauty. The very one he had seen before Whites on his first day back in London.

"Not at all. The duchess takes all of her duties in stride and does not seem daunted by any of them. And, of course, that she has her friend from Grafton visiting her is much more significant than any ball."

"Is that the young woman standing beside the duchess?" Corey asked. Something about the woman's form seemed familiar, although he could not say what that was. She was a tall meg, had legs that went on for days ...

"Ah, yes, it is. Miss Daphne Raven from Grafton. She's in town securing new gowns," Blackhaven said, clearing his throat.

Corey glanced at the duke and narrowed his eyes at his sheepishness. "Why do I get the impression there is more to Miss Raven than you're telling me?"

"Not at all. She is the most wonderful friend, and I love her as dearly as my wife does. Would you like to meet her?"

Corey shook his head. "No, I'm not up for introductions. I'm not here for a wife, no matter what the gossips about town may say to dispute that fact."

"Very well," Blackhaven conceded, but before Corey could thank his host again for the invitation and slip away unnoticed, he caught sight of the duchess coming their way with the new-to-town Miss Raven.

Corey inwardly sighed, not the least interested in playing the delighted male suitor that this debutante no doubt wanted this Season. Although the closer they came, the more he noticed that Miss Raven was no blushing debutante out of pigtails.

She was a woman, the same age as the duchess, he would guess, and her sparkling green eyes had a knowing, worldly light to them that did not disappoint.

"Renford, may I introduce you to my wife, The Duchess of Blackhaven, and Miss Daphne Raven. Ashley, Miss Raven, this is His Grace, the Duke of Renford."

The tall meg's eyes widened at his name, and she looked up at him before a delightful blush kissed her cheeks. She dipped into an awkward curtsy and mumbled something in return that he could barely hear, nevertheless make out.

The duchess smiled, and he could not help but smile back at the beauty of Her Grace. "A pleasure to meet you, Your Grace, Miss Raven. Our meeting has been long overdue, Your Grace."

"And you," the duchess replied before smiling at her friend and elbowing her a little.

He heard Blackhaven chuckle and knew His Grace had seen his wife's attempt at making her friend speak.

"How long are you in town?" Blackhaven asked him.

Corey shrugged, unable to take his eyes off Miss Raven, although why he could not understand. She was a beauty for certain, not one blemish or scar marring her skin. Her womanly curves all but begged to be caressed, and he had the overwhelming desire to ask about her enjoyment of the ball. Hear her voice.

"Not long. I've come to town to secure some services before returning home. I will not be here the entire Season."

"That is a shame, especially when there are so many prospects for a handsome, eligible bachelor as yourself," the duchess teased, moving to take her husband's arm.

Miss Raven seemed a little lost with her friend not beside her, and she glanced up quickly, meeting his eyes before averting from them just as fast.

She bit her lip, and everything in Corey's body froze. Those lips. Her perfect teeth that bit those kissable lips. Her strawberry-colored hair. Her long legs and breasts that were a good handful, but not more. He had seen her somewhere before, and it was not out the front of Whites.

Dear God, it was her ...

His virtuous beauty from Dame Plaisir's masque.
